The Research, Development, and Innovation panel at the conference Looking to the Future: EU Funds as an Opportunity for a Competitive and Innovative Croatia was moderated by Ana Fresl and included the following participants:

  • Tomislav Bronzin, CEO CITUS, innovator, MVP, member of the executive board of HUP-ICT, president of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Innovators at the Zagreb Innovators’ Union, vice president of the IT Association of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, member of the Thematic Innovation Council for Security within the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) of the Republic of Croatia
  • Marina Novosel, Head of the Service for Preparation and Implementation of Projects in the Areas of Strengthening the Economy and Competitiveness, MRRFEU
  • Sanja Mudrić Rešetar, Head of the Sector for Granting Grants and Implementing Projects in the Economy of the Ministry of the Economy
  • Nikola Mišković, full professor, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing

They discussed innovation, IRI, CZI, the complexities of tenders, the need for clear deadlines, excessive and unnecessary bureaucracy, and the push for simplification….
