Today, the results of a new, second national survey on the perception of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Republic of Croatia, conducted as part of the project “Perception of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Croatia”, were presented at the Effectus Polytechnic in Zagreb.
Tomislav Bronzin, CEO of CITUS and member of the Executive Board of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), also participated in the presentation.
The project aims to monitor the key indicators of the perception of artificial intelligence and analyze possible correlations using scientific and professional methods. The research was conducted on a representative sample of 2,200 respondents.
Some of the key findings compared to 2023 include:
- AI literacy is growing – 24% of citizens now have a high level of AI literacy (up from 19% in 2023).
- The perception of AI remains polarized – 59% associate AI with negative aspects and 31% with positive aspects.
- The use of AI is on the rise – 25% of citizens use AI, which is a significant increase compared to 14% in 2023.
- Although trust in AI grows, most citizens are still cautious about AI-based systems.
