The consortium led by the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, University of Zagreb and partners: the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb and the company CITUS, on June 1, 2026, officially began the implementation of the collaborative scientific research (CSR) project entitled “Modeling and analysis of personalized and optimal movement patterns in rehabilitation, sports and fitness using artificial intelligence (AI)”.
The goal of this project is to develop an artificial intelligence model for personalized analysis of movement patterns across rehabilitation, sports, and fitness.
This project brings together experts from various fields, including rehabilitation sciences, kinesiology, and ICT, in which the company CITUS plays an important role. This is an excellent example of interdisciplinary cooperation between academia and business to develop innovative solutions in sports, rehabilitation, and health care. Through intensive collaboration between scientists and business experts, the project will develop a solution over the next 36 months that will raise the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) from the experimental phase to the proof-of-concept level.
The project is co-financed through the Collaborative Scientific Research Grants Programme, which once again underscores the importance of investing in research and development (R&D) as a driver of sustainable economic growth. The project’s total eligible costs amount to EUR 880,868.84, of which the EU is providing grants of EUR 810,169.66.
